New Hires

New Hires

Welcome!

We are thrilled you have accepted a new position in Nunavut's public education system! There is, of course, a lot to do before assuming your new role: forms to complete, essential information to understand, and, often, moving logistics to consider. This website will help you manage the work ahead.

Please Note: Both new hires and current educators in new positions must use this website to access the paperwork and other information they need to start work. A new hire is a teacher, principal or consultant who is new to Nunavut and has received a job offer where the contract makes him or her a member of the Nunavut Teachers’ Association (NTA). A current educator is an educator who has been working in Nunavut but has accepted a new position.

Getting Started

Step One: Get Your Checklist from Your RSO/CSFN

If you have been hired, please request your personalized checklist from your RSO/CSFN.

You must use this list in conjunction with this website. It will help you access and navigate the full website, and identify forms you must complete.

Step Two: Use Your Checklist

Use your checklist as you navigate this site. It will help you manage all the requirements you must complete before starting work in Nunavut.

Also, discuss the checklist with your RSO/CSFN to make sure you are downloading all the forms you need.

Step Three: Ask Questions When You Need To!

If you have questions about the website, please contact: info.edu@gov.nu.ca

If you have questions about any of the essential forms, direct them to the contact person identified on that form (e.g. your human resources officer or the registrar).
